Even those with decades of appliance industry experience and a familiarity with Speed Queen products can still be surprised by the quality of our equipment. That was the case recently when industry legend Joe “The Appliance Dr.” Gagnon drove several hours with his son, Andrew, an appliance service technician, for a VIP tour of our Ripon manufacturing facility.
The pair learned how rolled steel and other materials come in one side of the plant—then are cut, bent, welded, molded, and coated before emerging on the other side as our commercial-quality Speed Queen washers and dryers. They also saw the company’s world-class research and development, and life-testing labs first-hand.
Joe is the host of The Home & Appliance Show, which airs every Sunday morning on WJR in Detroit, Michigan.
