Fancy a game of billiards? Let’s play.
You know that scene at the end of the Scorsese classic “The Color of Money” where Fast Eddie Felson declares “Hey, I’m back.” just before the break in the pool game showdown with Vincent?
Well, Speed Queen is making the same bold statement, albeit, far less dramatically than Paul Newman. We had so much fun running billiard balls through our TR7 to test its reliability, that we’re back at it for a second time.
Yup, three sets of billiard balls (21 pounds worth) getting the best care, 24/7 on our Legend livestream. Just another “don’t try this at home” moment to kill some time during this safer-at-home situation.
Note: while the sound of water being run over hockey pucks had an oddly soothing sound, this billiard ball livestream…not as soothing. As a point of reference, the first time we ran this test, our reliability lab folks social distanced waaay down the hall from the machine long before social distancing was cool.
So, the question remains…will billiard balls get the better of the TR7 this time around and send it out of commission? Only one way to find out, tune in here and see. And if billiards isn’t your thing, maybe you have a better idea on what we should wash in our next test. Fill out the form on the page to make your suggestion and be entered to win a free Speed Queen pair.
