Aubrey and Lorene Cagle married and moved west to California from Arkansas in 1952. Aubrey had a passion for sales, so he decided to open a retail store selling used furniture. The couple eventually started to sell plumbing equipment and new and used appliances. They were one of the first Norge, Magtag and RCA Appliance dealers as well as one of the first appliance dealers to sell Speed Queen.

Over time, the Cagle’s twin sons, Gary and Jerry, became involved in the family business. They learned how to repair appliances and became in-home service technicians. In 1972, the Cagles focused solely on appliance sales and service. Five years later, they welcomed their only daughter, Debi, into the family business. She launched her career by cleaning used appliances. She then learned how to buy and sell appliances. In the 1980s, Debi took a more prominent role in the family business, and together with her brother, Jerry, purchase the business from their parents.

Today, Debi is the sole owner and manager of the business. By keeping family traditions and values, Cagles Appliance has won the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year award two years in a row, has been voted “Best Appliance Store in the Inland Empire” for the last four years, and maintains 5-star Yelp® and Angie’s List® ratings.
